Parts-Puller / Dismantler
TJ’s Auto & Collision Center is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Parts-Puller/Dismantler to join our growing Automotive parts department. This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate order fulfillment, quality control, and efficient inventory handling within our yard and warehouse operations. Position Summary
The Parts Puller is responsible for accurately locating, identifying, and safely pulling parts as directed by sales or work orders while ensuring each part meets established quality standards. In addition, the Dismantler will properly remove high-quality Automotive parts and usable core components in a safe, efficient, and organized manner. This role also includes tagging, storing, and maintaining inventory throughout the yard and warehouse.
Schedule
Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
(No nights or weekends)
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Accurately locate and safely pull parts based on work orders
- Inspect and test parts to ensure quality standards are met
- Communicate defects or concerns to the Parts Manager promptly
- Properly package parts for delivery via company truck, UPS, LTL, or other carriers
- Maintain clean, organized part locations and work areas
As-Needed Responsibilities
- Perform weekly maintenance checks on loaders and forklifts
- Assist with property maintenance and cleanup in accordance with DNR standards
- Keep the yard free of trash and loose parts
- Support additional tasks as assigned by management
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, and kneeling for extended periods
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to provide most personal mechanical tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license
Compensation
- $16–$18 per hour, based on experience
