Duties
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, clipping, and styling according to breed standards and customer preferences
- Assess each dog’s coat condition, skin health, and temperament to tailor grooming techniques appropriately
- Maintain a clean and safe grooming environment by sanitizing tools and work areas regularly
- Schedule appointments efficiently, ensuring timely service delivery while managing customer expectations
- Provide excellent personal service by engaging with pet owners to understand specific grooming needs and preferences
- Assist with errand tasks such as purchasing grooming supplies or scheduling follow-up appointments when needed
- Support other team members in maintaining the overall cleanliness and organization of the grooming facility
Qualifications
- Prior salon or spa experience, especially in pet grooming or personal grooming services for adults, adolescents, elderly individuals, or clients in private residences or hotel settings
- Knowledge of various grooming tools, techniques, and breed-specific styling standards
- Strong organizational skills with experience in appointment scheduling and client communication
- Ability to handle dogs of all temperaments safely and compassionately
- Personal transportation assistance is preferred for flexible scheduling or mobile grooming opportunities
- Experience working in clinic or office building environments is a plus for maintaining professional standards
