Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment and minor building maintenance. Ensuring safe and efficient building operations while assisting maintenance mechanics in routine troubleshooting and repairs.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs basic preventative maintenance and routine repairs on various in-house systems to include conveyor, material handling equipment, tagging machines, storage equipment, vehicles, etc. Assists in troubleshooting and lubricates, adjusts and replaces parts.
- Performs maintenance services in two or more skill areas, including plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, electrical, heating, etc. may perform basic maintenance duties such as minor construction, landscaping, cleaning, etc.
- Assists maintenance mechanics in major equipment repairs, electrical repairs and installations in accordance with established safety procedures. Requisitions new supplies and equipment as necessary.
- Performs special projects or duties as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum High School Diploma or higher
- Vocational training in basic preventative maintenance is preferred
- Six months to one year experience in a preventative maintenance capacity with demonstrated mechanical knowledge
- Ability to work with limited supervision
- Be flexible with changing hours, demands, and priorities
