The CADD Technician position requires an individual who is highly motivated, possesses excellent teamwork skills and pays attention to detail. They must also be flexible and adaptable in dealing with projects and team members.
Job Requirements & Responsibilities:
- As a CADD Technician, your role will involve providing support for both roadway and/or construction projects.
- Maintain and organize CAD files, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project standards.
- Prepare and manage technical documentation, including plans, diagrams, and construction details.
- Develop and update detailed CAD drawings for civil engineering projects such as roadways, drainage systems, earthworks, and utilities.
- Create site plans, grading plans, cross-sections, and profile views based on project requirements and specifications.
- Review and verify drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project specifications before submission.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure designs are free from errors or inconsistencies.
- Follow industry best practices for CAD drawing standards, including layer management, annotation, and dimensioning.
- Flexibility to change work assignments on short notice as project needs change.
- Ability to concentrate on details, work under deadline pressures, apply sound logic and judgment, and prioritize tasks and responsibilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in technical drawings.
Minimum:
- Associate’s degree or diploma in Computer-Aided Design, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Certification in CAD software (such as AutoCAD Civil 3D) is a plus.
- Previous experience in a CAD Technician role within a civil engineering firm is preferred.
- Experience with CAD software OpenRoads Designer & MicroStation is highly desirable.
