At Tivoly, Inc., we are a leading manufacturer committed to making precision and quality products. We are seeking detail-oriented people to join our team.
We have an immediate opening for full-time machine operators on the second shift, with $1.50 shift differential pay. (2nd Shift: 3 pm to 11 pm). Candidates must have an eye for detail, strong math skills, be comfortable working with fine dimensional tolerances and have some mechanical skills as you will be making machine adjustments and changing grinding wheels. Experience in metal working a plus. Must be self-motivated and dependable.
Responsibilities:
· Operates production machinery in accordance with prints and specifications. Assigned machines may include lathes, grinders, mills, and similar equipment.
· Produces the required quantity of parts within established specifications and tolerances.
· Measures finished parts with precision tools, ensuring compliance with function, quality, and cosmetic specifications.
· Maintains logs and records of units produced including a record of errors resulting in rejected or discarded pieces.
· Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; performs basic and routine adjustments and maintenance.
· Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required skills/Abilities:
· Follow directions and work well in a team.
· Understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.
· Understanding of and the ability to abide by applicable OSHA and Environmental regulations.
· Strong basic reading and math skills.
· Strong problem-solving skills.
Education and Experience
· High school diploma or equivalent required
· Related work experience a plus
Physical Requirements
· Prolonged periods of working on feet, using tools, performing repetitive actions entail frequent bending and stooping.
· Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at a time.
· Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced.
