Titusville Area Hospital (TAH) is seeking a detail-oriented, customer-focused Registrar to join our Patient Access team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, helping ensure a seamless registration and admission process while providing exceptional service and support in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Register patients accurately by verifying demographic, insurance, and guarantor information
- Estimate and communicate patient financial responsibility; collect copays and other patient liabilities
- Maintain and update patient records while preventing duplicate medical records
- Educate patients regarding Advanced Directives, Patient Bill of Rights, financial obligations, and general hospital information
- Work collaboratively with Pre-Service Specialists, Financial Counselors, providers, and departments to coordinate services and reduce wait times
- Follow up on authorizations, unresolved accounts, and required documentation
- Provide excellent customer service in face-to-face and phone interactions with patients, families, and healthcare staff
- Complete data tracking spreadsheets and respond to quality monitors as required
- Assist with training new staff and support department coverage as needed
- Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with organizational, state, and federal standards and regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Computer proficiency with strong typing/data entry skills (30 wpm minimum)
- Previous healthcare registration or medical office experience preferred
- Completion of a Medical Terminology course preferred
- Knowledge of insurance benefits, managed care, Medicaid/Medicare regulations preferred

Pay: From $15.64 per hour
