About the Position:
We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist with progressive human resources experience. The HR Generalist will play a key role in managing a wide range of HR functions, including onboarding, employee relations, and performance management. This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional with strong interpersonal skills and a deep understanding of HR best practices to support our organization’s goals and foster a positive workplace culture.
This is a hybrid role with the expectation to be on-site 3-4 days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Onboarding: Facilitate seamless onboarding processes to ensure new hires are integrated effectively.
- Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted point of contact for employee concerns, resolving conflicts, conducting investigations, and promoting a positive work environment. Guide HR policies and procedures.
- Performance Management: Support managers in performance reviews, goal setting, and employee development plans. Implement performance improvement processes when needed.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO). Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR regulations and ensure company policies align with legal standards.
- HRIS Management: Maintain and update HR information systems to ensure accurate employee records and data integrity.
- Benefits Administration: Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives. Assist employees with benefits-related inquiries and coordinate open enrollment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree or HR certification, e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP, preferred).
- Bilingual and fluent in both English and Spanish is required.
- Approximately 5 years of progressive HR experience in roles such as HR Coordinator, HR Specialist, or HR Generalist.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Proven experience managing recruitment, employee relations, and performance management processes.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Preferred experience with current HR tech stack: Lattice, ADP, and Workable
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all organizational levels.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
