Position Summary
Titans and Associates LLC is seeking a compassionate and motivated Community Support Associate (CSA) to provide direct support services to children, adolescents, and families experiencing behavioral health challenges. The Community Support Associate plays an essential role in assisting clients with developing life skills, improving emotional regulation, and maintaining stability in home, school, and community environments.
Working under the supervision of licensed clinical staff, the CSA provides structured support, skill-building, and behavioral interventions that align with individualized treatment plans. This role requires a commitment to trauma-informed care, professionalism, and the ability to build supportive relationships with youth and families.
Key Responsibilities
Client Support and Skill Development
- Provide community-based support services to clients in home, school, and community settings.
- Assist clients in developing and practicing independent living skills, social skills, and emotional regulation strategies.
- Support clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) when appropriate, including hygiene routines, organization, and daily structure.
- Facilitate structured activities that promote positive coping skills, problem-solving, and healthy decision-making.
Behavioral Health Support
- Reinforce coping strategies and behavioral interventions identified in individualized treatment plans.
- Support clients experiencing emotional or behavioral difficulties using trauma-informed and de-escalation techniques.
- Provide encouragement and guidance to help clients build confidence and improve interpersonal functioning.
Monitoring and Documentation
- Observe and report changes in clients’ behavior, mood, or functioning.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided, interventions used, and client progress in accordance with agency policy and HIPAA confidentiality standards.
- Ensure all documentation meets program and regulatory requirements.
Collaboration and Communication
- Work collaboratively with therapists, case managers, and other members of the treatment team.
- Communicate effectively with families and caregivers to reinforce treatment goals and strategies within the home environment.
- Participate in team meetings, supervision, and required training.
Health and Safety
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment during service delivery.
- Follow agency policies related to crisis response, safety procedures, and mandated reporting.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in behavioral health, social services, youth services, community support, or a related field.
Knowledge and Skills
- Ability to build rapport with children, adolescents, and families.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of behavioral health principles and trauma-informed care.
- Ability to maintain professional documentation and follow confidentiality requirements (HIPAA).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Certifications (not required)
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Additional training in behavioral health, youth development, or crisis intervention.
Work Environment
Community Support Associates provide services in homes, schools, and community settings and must be able to work flexibly within various environments while maintaining professional boundaries and prioritizing client safety.
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
