Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dental clinic. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist with various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental assisting practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Maintain accurate medical records and update patient information in the clinic's systems.
- Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, confirming, and following up on visits.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Monitor vital signs as necessary during procedures to ensure patient safety.
- Provide support in endodontics procedures when required.
- Collaborate with the dental receptionist to ensure seamless patient flow within the clinic.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred; familiarity with Eaglesoft or similar dental software is a plus.
- Knowledge of medical records management and dental clinic operations is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of dental assisting techniques, including taking vital signs and performing basic clinical tasks.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Certification in Dental Assisting or relevant training is preferred but not mandatory.
