Medical-Surgical (Med Surge) Registered Nurse (RN) - Observation Unit needed in Gainesville, FL.

This position is with a progressive, financially stable Hospital System.
Salary and Benefits
- Hourly Rate- $30.00 - $43.20
- Days (Rotating Weekends)
- Nights (Rotating Weekends)
- Shift Differential $4.25 nights/ $3.00 for weekends
- Sign-on Bonus – $15,000 for days / $25,000 for nights (paid over 2 years)

Responsibilities
- Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation.
- Advocate for patients as part of the interdisciplinary team.
- Analyze the assessment data to determine the diagnosis or issues.
- Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient and the situation.
- Act as an advocate for patient safety.
- Ensure effective care and use of time, supplies, and equipment.
- Educate patients regarding their medications, procedures and treatments, providing patients and their families with support throughout their stay.
Requirements
- 1 year of recent (within last year) of Observation/Med-Surge Acute Care RN experience.
- Open to candidates with ER RN experience
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Registered Nurse Diploma.
- Florida RN license required or appropriate compact licensure.
- If compact license held, active Florida RN license required within 90 days of hire.
