Commercial and Residential Painter

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Commercial and Residential Painter to bring vibrant color and flawless finishes to a variety of projects. Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces thoroughly by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
• Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools.
• Execute residential painting projects including walls, ceilings, trim carpentry, stucco, and fixture installation with precision and attention to detail.
• Perform commercial painting tasks on large-scale buildings, warehouses, and industrial facilities utilizing schematics and blueprints for accurate application.
• Conduct plastering, caulking, masonry work, and basic drywall repair to create smooth surfaces ready for finishing coats.
• Read blueprints and schematics to interpret project specifications accurately while estimating materials needed through construction estimating skills.
• Assist with renovation projects involving framing carpentry, restoration work, remodeling tasks, and concrete finishing as required.
• Maintain safety standards on construction sites by properly handling scaffolding, ladders, scaffolding systems, welding equipment (if applicable), and other tools while adhering to OSHA guidelines.
• Collaborate with team members including carpenters and handyman professionals to ensure seamless project execution from start to finish.
• Manage multiple projects efficiently by organizing materials like hand tools and ensuring timely completion of each phase of work.

Requirements

• Proven experience in residential painting along with commercial painting projects; familiarity with construction site environments is essential.
• Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and basic math skills for precise measurements.
• Proficiency with hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray equipment (including airless systems), power tools, caulking guns, and plastering tools.
• Skilled in various specialized areas including stucco application, fixture installation, restoration work, masonry techniques (such as brickwork), framing carpentry, trim carpentry, welding (preferred), concrete finishing, and masonry work.
• Ability to read technical drawings accurately and follow detailed instructions for complex projects involving renovation or remodeling tasks.
• Excellent physical stamina with the ability to stand for long periods; comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces when necessary.
• Valid experience working on construction sites with a focus on safety protocols; familiarity with industrial painting practices is a plus.
• Strong communication skills combined with a proactive attitude; capable of collaborating effectively within a team environment. Pay: $25.75 - $31.01 per hour
