What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Electrician position at Titan International, Inc.?
Titan Freeport is hiring an Industrial Electrician for our 2nd shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM) and 3rd shift (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM) teams. As an Industrial Electrician, you’ll help keep the Freeport plant running safely and reliably by installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and electronic systems used in production. You’ll work with blueprints, schematics, controls, sensors, and plant equipment to diagnose issues, make repairs, and support the team when equipment needs to get back online quickly and correctly.
What You’ll Work On
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic equipment that supports daily plant operations
- Install, test, program, assemble, and maintain electrical systems and controls
- Read and interpret electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and related schematics to identify issues and complete repairs
- Work with variable-voltage DC control systems, solid-state controllers, M-G sets, rectifiers, and adjustable-speed equipment including mag amps and SCRs
- Support microprocessor-based and programmable control systems, including Allen-Bradley components
- Work with devices such as thermocouples, RTDs, pressure transducers, load cells, and photoelectric sensors
- Use gas torch equipment as required and follow safe work practices while supporting production needs
What We’re Looking For
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3–5 years of industrial electrical experience required
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work through equipment issues with urgency and accuracy
- Experience reading schematics, working with industrial controls, and supporting electrical systems in a manufacturing or plant environment
- Card-carrying union industrial electrician experience is a plus
