Job Overview
Titan Industries is seeking a reliable, safety-driven Fabrication Technician to join our team. This role plays a critical part in our production operations and requires strong attention to detail, dependable attendance, and a commitment to maintaining Titan's high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
1. Safety
- Demonstrate a high regard for safety in all tasks.
- Follow all procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook and Safety Manual.
- Consistently wear required PPE while on site.
- Understand that this is a safety-sensitive position.
2. Role Requirements
- Excellent punctuality and attendance are essential.
- Standard work hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
- Overtime required: 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM, with some Saturdays (6:00 AM – 11:00 AM) as needed.
- Safely lift up to 75 lbs multiple times per day.
- Able to stand, bend, kneel, and work on your feet for 8–10 hour shifts.
3. Operations
- Coordinate daily with the Production Manager and Project Managers regarding schedules and fabrication needs.
- Maintain clear, consistent communication with the management team.
- Work closely with the shop foreman to maintain fabrication schedules and ensure materials are ready for production.
- Report missing materials, discrepancies, or issues with shop drawings to the Production Manager.
- Estimate fabrication durations to help align timelines and scheduling expectations.
4. Quality Control
- Execute all quality control procedures in accordance with Titan's Quality Control Manual.
- Ensure all quality documentation is completed and recorded correctly.
- Oversee and ensure all bar code tracking procedures are accurately performed.
5. Team Development & Skill Expectations
- Foster a positive, team-oriented workplace culture.
- Read and interpret drawings and tape measurements (English).
- Follow and enforce all safety procedures.
- Inspect the work of others for accuracy and quality.
- Layout assemblies correctly and consistently without supervision.
- Perform welding, fabricating, grinding, and cutting safely and efficiently.
- Assist shop personnel with tasks required for timely product shipment.
- Safely rig materials and operate overhead cranes and forklifts.
- Oversee safe and timely loading/unloading of materials from trucks and machines.
