What You Will Own
- Run continuous customer discovery: meet with customers (educators) weekly to understand needs, validate problems, and prioritize the roadmap.
- Own the product roadmap and prioritization across onboarding, activation, and retention focusing on the highest-impact outcomes.
- Translate customer business priorities into clear product designs for developers: flows, wireframes, mockups, acceptance criteria, and Jira tickets.
- Execute competitor research and adapt best-in-class patterns by studying and selectively copying competitor designs to accelerate iteration and UX quality.
- Drive end-to-end execution as the cross-functional glue across Marketing, Sales, Ops, Customer Success, and Engineering, including launch readiness and adoption.
- 2–6 years experience in product and/or startup environments where you owned ambiguity and shipped quickly.
- Strong product judgment and systems thinking: able to simplify complex workflows into scalable user journeys.
- High-quality design ability (or strong design direction): can produce clear, developer-ready mockups and flows (Figma preferred).
- Customer-first mindset with excellent communication: able to earn trust, run effective conversations, and synthesize insights into decisions.
- Data fluency: comfortable using funnel metrics (conversion, onboarding completion, churn/retention, time-to-value) to prioritize and measure impact.
- Nice to have: EdTech experience
- Customers consistently confirm you're building the right thing: clear discovery cadence and roadmap decisions tied to real user pain.
- Faster shipping: devs receive designs/specs that reduce back-and-forth and increase delivery predictability.
- Measurable improvements in funnel performance (onboarding completion, activation, time-to-value) and retention/churn.
- A clear, maintained scorecard and operating rhythm for product execution (weekly priorities, roadmap updates, outcomes tracked).
