Experienced Metal Fabricator / Welding Subcontractor (1099)
Titan Forge – Springville, Utah
Titan Forge is looking for an experienced fabricator to support our growing workload.
This is a 1099 subcontractor position with work intended to support full-time hours whenever project volume allows.
We are not looking for someone who only wants to weld. We are looking for a true fabricator who can think independently, solve problems, and take projects from layout through installation.
Pay
- $23–$30/hour depending on experience and demonstrated ability
- Additional compensation available for advanced TIG welding and specialty metal work
- Opportunity for increased compensation based on reliability, growth, and contribution
Typical Work
Most work is performed during normal shop operating hours (typically beginning around 8:00 AM), with flexibility depending on project demands.
Work includes:
- Custom metal fabrication
- MIG welding steel and aluminum
- TIG welding stainless steel and aluminum
- Layout, fitting, grinding, and professional finish work
- CNC plasma operation
- Measuring and assisting with project planning
- Field installations and adjustments
- Working directly with homeowners, contractors, and clients
Requirements
- Professional fabrication experience required
- Strong MIG welding skills required
- Proficient TIG welding skills required (stainless and aluminum)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Strong communication and professionalism
- High attention to detail and finish quality
- Reliable and dependable
- Structural welding certifications preferred
- Comfortable working directly with clients
- Physically capable of lifting heavy materials and assisting with installs
- Valid driver’s license preferred
Tools & Equipment
Candidates are expected to provide standard fabrication hand tools. Titan Forge provides major shop equipment and machinery.
