Overview
Logistics Intern
Engage in the world of concrete, cement, block and aggregates manufacturing from start to finish. Spend your internship with 5 different departments with Titan America, ranging from dispatch operations, customer support, logistics analytics, and integrated supply platforms. You will work on projects designed for students to apply relevant coursework.
Responsibilities
Program Summary
Quality Control
· Analyze, develop, and perform trials on concrete mix designs
· Learn and perform DOT plant inspections
· Problem solving and field testing
Production/Operations
· Gain an understanding of the continuous flow and batching processes
· Learn about raw material and product specifications
· Visit production plants to understand the vertically integrated supply chain
Sales
· Assist with sales forecasts and backlogs
· Analyze material costs
· Learn about project specifications and requirements
· Assist with project searches and following up on leads
Dispatch/ Admin
· Learn to take and schedule orders
· Analyze truck demand and truck utilization
· Analyze logistic problems and their effect of the business
· Apply technical knowledge on projects related to integration and automation
· Generate digital training material for new hires
Block
· Learn the Concrete Block production process
· Learn about Concrete Block quality
· Evaluate the process and recommend optimization projects
This internship will be molded to fit the interests and talents of the individual candidate, with some time spent with each department.
