What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Assembler position at Titan Abrasive Systems?
Titan Abrasive Systems, a small family-owned manufacturer of industrial abrasive blasting equipment, based in Ivyland, PA, is seeking a mechanical assembler to join our team.
Your primary responsibility is to assemble various pieces of industrial equipment that Titan produces and prepare them for shipping.
You’re the ideal candidate if you have strong mechanical skills, some basic electrical knowledge, like to work independently, and can read and understand technical drawings.
You’re also dependable, show up to work on time and have attention to detail.
You will also be responsible for Shipping and Receiving, and operating a fork lift.
In this role, you’ll report directly to Brandon Acker, CEO.
This is an excellent position for someone who wants steady and interesting work with a small but growth-oriented company. No day will be exactly the same. Full-time or part-time position available.
This position requires that you lift a minimum of 75 pounds, as well as bend, lift, stoop and stand for prolonged periods. You’ll also be exposed to noise.

- Knowledge of all types of hand tools, fabricating equipment, measuring devices.

- Collaborative; can receive feedback and also provide ideas for improving processes and/or efficiencies.
Responsibilities
- Assemble various pieces of industrial machinery.
- Read engineering drawings; use power and hand tools.
- Basic electrical knowledge.
- Build pallets; package and palletize equipment for shipping.
- Pack part orders and prepare for UPS pickup.
- Drive a forklift to load and unload trucks and move items around the shop.
- Work with minimal supervision to accurately accomplish any given task.
- Other duties as assigned/needed
- Some travel may be available.
Experience and Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of industrial or mechanical experience desired but not necessary
- Experience working with a forklift preferred
Salary / Benefits
· Part-time or full-time position available
· Salary is $17 - $24 per hour to start, depending on experience
