Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in various settings. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to monitor vital signs while delivering high-quality care to individuals with diverse needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
- Provide care for patients with dementia and other cognitive impairments.
- Support patients in behavioral health settings by maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment.
- Help with mobility and physical therapy exercises as directed by nursing staff.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient care areas.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient status.
- Document patient care activities accurately in accordance with facility policies.
Experience
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of physiology and medical terminology is beneficial.
- Familiarity with senior care practices or pediatrics is advantageous.
- A strong commitment to providing compassionate patient care in a team-oriented environment.
