Veterinary Receptionist

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing clear communication to patient owners while assisting the assistants and technicians with patient restraint and cleaning. This position requires a love for animals, strong communication skills, ability to learn, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Weekend availability is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to patient owners by efficiently checking clients in, obtaining deposits, checking clients out, answering phone calls and text messages, checking and responding to emails, and scheduling appointments.
• Utilize your high-quality computer skills to correctly navigate our veterinary software system. Prior experience with Cornerstone is an advantage but not required.
• Properly explain clinic protocol and correctly prioritize cases at check-in.
• Discuss the third-party financing options offered with owners.
• Clearly communicate with clients, the veterinarian, and assistants/technicians on staff.
• Assist doctors, assistant/technicians as needed with restraint, imaging, cleaning, and stocking.

• Have a warm and welcoming demeanor when interacting with clients and staff.
• Be organized and efficient.
• Be able to multitask.
• Be able to clearly communicate in a variety of situations.
• Be willing to learn skills beyond front desk work as needed.
• Have weekend availability and availability during clinic hours.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
