The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced Lead Remodeling Carpenter who takes ownership of

every project and enjoys mentoring others while delivering outstanding craftsmanship.

This is a full-time position with year-round work on residential remodeling projects

throughout the Pittsburgh South Hills.

Responsibilities

• Performs all trim carpentry including baseboard, crown molding, door/window casing
• Hang and install cabinets, accessories, hardware
• Hang interior/exterior doors and windows
• Install tile on floors, walls, showers and back splashes and grout
• Hang and finish drywall
• Install all flooring including deck boards, laminate, sub floor, tile , vinyl and wood
• Performs all rough carpentry including deck, stairs and walls
• Install shower pan and shower systems
• Install railings
• Leads team of 1-3 people and sub contractors on all projects (depends on experience)

What We're Looking For

• Extensive knowledge of residential construction and remodeling trades, practices
• and procedures
• Possesses a high level of professionalism with interacting with clients
• Proficient in blueprint reading, technical documents and drawings
• Able to do layout, framing and finish work
• Possesses mathematical skills necessary to do material and labor estimates and weekly cost analysis
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of construction safety and OSHA regulations
• Possess high level of quality control standards and ensures on-site team adheres
• to these standards
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and solid communication with the on-site team and customer
• Clearly explain steps, provide clear directions and answer questions about construction processes to employees and subcontractors
• Willingness to work overtime when necessary to deliver the project on time
• Knowledge of lumber grades and countertop materials
• Good physical condition and endurance
• High school diploma; Successful completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program
• Experience in new construction for decks and additions
• Experience in remodeling basements, bathrooms, kitchens and commercial spaces
