Automotive Service Advisor

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Automotive Service Advisor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for customers seeking automotive services and repairs. Your expertise in vehicle maintenance and repair, combined with exceptional customer service skills, will ensure that our clients receive the highest level of service. The ideal candidate will have experience and a strong background in customer service.

Duties

• Greet customers and assess their automotive service needs.
• Provide accurate estimates for repairs and services based on customer requests and diagnostic evaluations.
• Collaborate with service technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs.
• Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, services performed, and parts used.
• Handle cash transactions and process payments efficiently.
• Address customer inquiries and concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
• Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in automotive service.
• Assist in managing the service department's workflow to optimize efficiency.

Requirements

• Previous experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with various automotive systems including transmissions, brakes, alignment, suspension, tire service, diesel engine repair, shocks & struts, oil changes, auto body repair, air brake systems, and more.
• Excellent customer service skills with a proven ability to build rapport with clients.
• Experience in service writing and auto estimating is highly desirable.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping.
• Cash handling experience is a plus.
