Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools and interpret automotive wiring diagrams to identify issues accurately.
- Repair and maintain various vehicle systems including powertrain, transmission, suspension, electrical systems, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
- Conduct vehicle inspections and maintenance procedures such as oil changes, brake repairs, wheel alignments, and engine diagnostics.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to execute repairs efficiently.
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex automotive electrical and mechanical problems.
- Repair or replace vehicle components such as transmissions, diesel engines, suspension systems, and electrical wiring.
- Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and quality standards while providing excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and professionally.
Experience
- Proven dealership experience or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive repair.
- Demonstrated ability to work with automotive diagnostic tools and interpret schematics effectively.
- Hands-on experience with vehicle maintenance, including powertrain repairs, transmission system repair, vehicle suspension system repair, and alignment services.
- Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, wiring diagrams, ADAS technology, and diesel engine repair is highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and auto estimating software.
- Familiarity with GM vehicles or similar makes is a plus but not required.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
