Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues across various vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, suspension, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
- Repair and maintain powertrain components such as engines, transmissions, and diesel engines to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics accurately to troubleshoot electrical problems efficiently.
- Conduct vehicle suspension system repairs and wheel alignments to enhance safety and handling.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools skillfully to disassemble, repair, or replace faulty parts with precision.
- Service vehicles by performing routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, and fluid replacements.
- Collaborate with team members to estimate repairs accurately using auto estimating software and communicate effectively with customers about repair needs and timelines.
Experience
- Proven dealership or service center experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
- Strong familiarity with automotive diagnostics, schematics interpretation, and the use of diagnostic tools.
- Hands-on experience repairing powertrain components, vehicle transmission systems, and suspension systems.
- Knowledge of automotive electrical systems and wiring diagram interpretation.
- Experience working on GM vehicles or similar makes is a plus but not required.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently with hand tools, power tools, and automotive repair equipment.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with a proactive approach to vehicle maintenance and repair tasks.
