The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure that ILIS (Inline Inspection Support) and/or NDE (Non-Destructive Evaluation) field personnel meet customer project requirements and expectations by identifying and resolving deficiencies in company processes or deliverables. The role involves reviewing and analyzing pipeline integrity and NDE field data to ensure proper reporting methods align with client expectations and industry standards. The successful candidate will support office operations by assisting management, quality, and field teams through various administrative and technical tasks, including equipment and data maintenance, documentation, and data tracking. This position also plays a key role in technician development, process improvement, and client interaction to enhance overall quality and operational efficiency. A strong understanding of operational processes and the ability to analyze technical data are essential. This role is considered advanced level and the candidate should have extensive knowledge of quality systems and pipeline integrity.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communicate with management and field technicians to outline project requirements and expectations.
  • Prepare documents in accordance with NDE/ILIS Quality Assurance standards and procedures to reflect current client requirements regarding ILIS technique and reporting expectations.
  • Coordinate with Field Technicians to ensure all documentation is submitted to TIR in the required time frame.
  • Audit reports and deliver to customers in a timely manner.
  • Investigate client or technician complaints of internal issues with reports that need fixed and/or corrected.
  • Collaborate with management to develop new products, designs, and training methods as needed.
  • Assist management with technician training.
  • Reply to general information requests with timely and accurate information.
  • Contribute to team/departmental efforts by accomplishing tasks and results as needed and expected.
  • Review, analyze and create various operations reports as needed.
  • Travel to various locations (less than 10%) for client training, field audits, as needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Associate degree in quality, industrial technology, or related field preferred. Equivalent field experience considered.
  • Consideration will be given to candidates with experience in other quality positions, document control, or project coordination who exhibit a high level of attention to detail and ability to “follow through”.
  • Background in pipeline integrity, ILI tools, NDE methods, equipment calibration or general industrial construction preferred.
  • Familiarity with SOPs, reporting standards, and quality assurance documentation.
  • Ability to interpret technical data and field procedures. 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including conflict resolution. 
  • Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Outlook); advanced Excel skills preferred. 
  • Ability to identify and mitigate risks associated with non-conformance. 
  • Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS


Internal – Work is normally performed in a climate-controlled office environment with a flexible work schedule.

External – Will be required to perform work in field/shop environment on a temporary basis based on ILIS/NDE training and development (less than 10%).
