Job Title: Liquor Store Clerk
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Liquor Store Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist customers with product selection, handle sales transactions, maintain store cleanliness, and ensure compliance with all laws and regulations regarding the sale of alcohol.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers with product inquiries and purchases
- Operate the cash register and process payments accurately
- Check customer identification to verify legal age for alcohol purchases
- Stock shelves, rotate inventory, and maintain organized displays
- Keep the store clean, safe, and welcoming for customers
- Receive and inspect deliveries to ensure accuracy and quality
- Follow all state and local liquor laws and store policies
Requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to handle cash and operate a register
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Previous retail or cashier experience preferred
- Knowledge of alcoholic beverages a plus
