Duties
- Safely handle and transport food items from the kitchen to dining areas using proper manual handling techniques, heavy lifting practices, and efficient routes.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including plating, garnishing, and ensuring dishes meet quality standards.
- Buss tables by clearing plates, utensils, and empty glasses promptly to maintain a clean dining environment.
- Maintain cleanliness in food prep areas, service stations, and dining spaces by performing regular cleaning duties in accordance with food safety standards.
- Support servers by delivering food orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
- Ensure safe lifting practices when handling heavy trays or large quantities of dishes to prevent injury.
- Provide exceptional in-person customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions about menu items, and assisting with special requests or dietary needs.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with food handling procedures and safety regulations is essential.
- Experience working with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS will be advantageous.
- Prior roles involving serving, bussing, or food running demonstrate strong communication skills and guest service aptitude.
- Kitchen or banquet experience is a plus, showcasing your ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
