What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Tech position at TIPPMANN GROUP?
SUMMARY:
Interstate Warehousing is a cold storage facility located in Newport News, Virginia. We are currently looking to add a maintenance technician to our staff to help assist with daily tasks around the facility. We offer on-site training; experience is not required. Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems in an industrial establishment by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- General building upkeep (pressure washing, painting, sanitation, etc.).
- Responsible for working safely and reporting all unsafe acts and conditions.
- Repairs plumbing problems, including pressure regulations and valves.
- Maintenance on concrete flooring.
- Repairs and troubleshoots electrical forklifts, including motors, drive units, and hydraulic cylinders.
- Changes and troubleshoots electrical contacts when necessary.
- Maintains and reports all building equipment as necessary.
- Responsible for preventative maintenance on all equipment (freezer doors, forklifts, etc.).
- Responsible to report food safety and quality problems to their supervisor
- Other duties may be assigned
Monday-Friday: 7:00am-3:30pm.
