GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:Works under the direction of Tippecanoe School Corporation (TSC) Head Nurse and the Principal to provide health care needs primarily to TSC students, but can include TSC staff as needed. Care is provided in accordance with TSC policies, procedures, standing orders and Indiana State Laws. Responsible for reviewing immunizations, writing health care plans, providing health education, facilitating/performing vision screens, recording hearing screens and completing state reports as mandated by state law.

Health Services-RN
Klondike Schools
- Full-time, Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm
- 5 days a week, 30 hours a week
- 183 day position that follows the student calendar.

Qualifications:
A. RN licensure in State of Indiana.
- 3 years of experience, preferably in pediatrics, community health nursing, adult, and/or mental health nursing is preferred.
B. High School Diploma
C. CPR certification (required)
D. First Aid Certification (required)
E. A medical background (desirable)
F. Experience and ability to work with children
G. Good physical and emotional health
H. Proficient in use of computer and knowledgeable with basic computer software. Able to operate standard office equipment, and use a telephone
Physical Requirements:
A. Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend over, reach overhead, grasp, push, pull, squat, kneel, and climb
B. Ability to lift and/or carry 30 lbs
C. Ability to occasionally lift, push, pull, carry, and/or move patients and equipment weighing up to 100 lbs.

Additional Performance Responsibilities:
Nursing Care
Organization
- Maintains electronic health records in Health Office Anywhere of student visits and documentation on individual health records.
- Maintains the health office facility and supplies
Resource Utilization
- Utilizes existing EMR – Care Dox technology effectively in the performance of duties.
- Records 100% of health visits into Health Office Anywhere
- Compiles data for statistical purposes
Professional Development
- Attends nurses’ staff meetings, in-services, and credentialing programs provided by the district
- Participates as an active member of the school community, representing health, wellness and safety
