Tipp City Schools is seeking an energetic and skilled High School Marching Band Director to lead our well-respected and spirited marching band program. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dedicated group of student musicians in a community that deeply values the arts and school pride.
Our marching band performs at football games, community events, and regional competitions, and is a vital part of the student experience at Tipp City. Qualifications:
Valid Ohio teaching license in Music (K–12 or appropriate grade-level licensure)
Demonstrated experience directing or assisting marching band programs
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to inspire student musicians and build a positive, inclusive team culture
Willingness to collaborate with fellow music educators, support staff, and community partners
Responsibilities Include:
Leading all aspects of the high school marching band program, including summer band camp, rehearsals, football game performances, and competitions
Collaborating with assistant directors, staff, and volunteers to ensure high-quality experiences and performances
Managing logistics, communication, and event planning in coordination with school leadership
Promoting student engagement, musical growth, and pride through strong instruction and performance opportunities
