Inside Sales Assistant - Industrial Supply

Job Summary

We are a third-generation, family-owned industrial supply company serving fabrication and job shops across East and South Texas, West Louisiana, and South Arkansas. We’ve built our business on strong relationships, dependable service, and a commitment to taking care of our customers. In addition to supporting local shops, we also serve major companies in the oil & gas and aerospace industries.

This position will begin with administrative and order support responsibilities and transition into a full Inside Sales role as product knowledge is developed. The right candidate will learn to create purchase orders (POs), receive vendor orders, and bill customer orders while supporting customers who rely on us for critical shop consumables.

Our customers depend on fast and accurate service to keep their operations running, so attention to detail and follow-through are a must.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail
• Organized and dependable
• Good communication skills (phone and email)
• Willingness to learn industrial products and part numbers
• Comfortable working with numbers, quantities, and pricing
• Basic computer skills (email, spreadsheets, order systems)
• Ability to manage multiple tasks at once
• Customer service, inside sales, purchasing, or industrial experience is a plus

Preferred Experience (not required)

• Industrial supply or manufacturing environment
• Experience working with part numbers or SKUs
• Order entry or purchasing support
• Familiarity with fabrication or machine shop environments
• Experience with ERP systems or inventory software

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
