What are the responsibilities and job description for the Salon Manager position at Tip N' Toe Salon?
Tip N' Toe is looking for a Salon Manager to lead daily operations and keep our team and clients well taken care of. This is a hands-on role for someone who's comfortable managing people and priorities on the floor. Social media experience is a plus, but it is not the core of this role.
Responsibilities
Salon Operations & Team
- Supervise daily salon operations, ensuring smooth workflow and excellent client experiences.
- Manage the team's schedule and day to day coordination, making sure staff are supported and satisfied.
- Serve as the first point of contact for client concerns and complaints, resolving issues on the spot when possible.
- Coordinate front desk activities, including client check-in and check-out and appointment confirmations.
- Manage GlossGenius, including bookings, client communication, and reporting (payroll excluded).
- Handle cash handling and daily close-out procedures when the owners are not on site.
- Monitor inventory and reorder products and supplies as needed.
- Track expenses and invoices to support budgeting.
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and safety in accordance with California cosmetology and nail technician regulations.
- Keep the salon organized, professional, and welcoming for clients and staff.
Social Media (Nice to Have)
- Help maintain our presence on Google Business, Yelp, Instagram, and TikTok.
- Capture photos and videos of services, products, and salon culture.
- Execute a content calendar; bring your own ideas if you have them, we welcome it.
Qualifications
- Fluent in Vietnamese and English.
- Strong understanding of sanitation practices and California nail technician licensing requirements.
- Prior experience in a salon management or supervisory role preferred; open to the right person growing into it.
- Comfortable managing people and handling client issues calmly and professionally. Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Salon, spa, or beauty industry experience is a plus but not required.
- Social media experience is a plus but not required.
Schedule & Pay
- Part-time, approximately 20-25 hours per week.
- Weekend availability required.
- Pay: $18.50 - $22.00 per hour, depending on experience.
