Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in developing and executing age-appropriate lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math skills, and curriculum development strategies.
- Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and implementing behavior management techniques to create a safe, respectful environment.
- Engage with children during activities, providing individualized attention to support early childhood education and childhood development milestones.
- Help maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that promotes safety and encourages learning through play and exploration.
- Collaborate with staff to adapt instructional materials for children with disabilities or those requiring special education accommodations, including working with individuals with autism.
- Support daycare routines such as snack time, nap time, diapering or potty training, and outdoor play to ensure comprehensive care for all children.
- Communicate effectively with parents and team members about children's progress and any behavioral or developmental concerns.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in classroom settings, daycare centers, or private schools is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles, including Montessori or preschool methodologies.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs such as autism is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and children.
- Ability to support lesson planning focused on literacy education, math skills, and curriculum development tailored to young learners’ needs.
- Demonstrated commitment to child safety and well-being through attentive caregiving practices.
