Job Overview
Tiny Trailblazers is seeking a dependable, nurturing, and energetic part-time teacher/floater to join our team! Our mission is to nurture young minds and hearts through a safe, loving, and play-based learning environment.
This position provides flexible classroom support for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. We value teamwork, patience, accountability, and a genuine passion for helping children grow.
Responsibilities
- Provide active supervision and maintain a safe, positive classroom environment.
- Assist with daily routines, learning activities, meals, diapering, and transitions.
- Use positive behavior guidance and age-appropriate classroom management strategies.
- Follow classroom schedules, lesson plans, and center policies.
- Maintain clean, organized classrooms and follow health and safety procedures.
- Communicate professionally with families, coworkers, and administration.
- Follow Alabama DHR childcare standards and mandatory reporting requirements.
- Provide reliable classroom coverage as staffing needs change.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous childcare experience preferred but not required.
- Must meet Alabama DHR background screening and training requirements.
- Dependable, patient, flexible, and willing to work with different age groups.
- Ability to work as part of a team and accept constructive feedback.
