Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to mixed-age groups, incorporating early intervention strategies and Montessori principles when applicable.
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and social interaction among children of varying ages.
- Manage classroom activities with effective behavior management techniques to promote positive conduct and emotional well-being.
- Conduct assessments of child development progress using standardized testing methods and document observations for ongoing planning.
- Collaborate with families to communicate children's growth milestones, behavioral updates, and educational goals in accordance with mandated reporting laws.
- Incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical education activities, and childcare best practices into daily lessons.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, lesson plans, child welfare concerns, and compliance with licensing regulations.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in early childhood education settings such as daycare centers, preschools, or private schools.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development across diverse age groups with an emphasis on childhood development instruction.
- Classroom management skills with the ability to handle behavioral challenges effectively in a nurturing manner.
- Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety protocols.
- Experience teaching physical education, tutoring young children, or implementing standardized testing procedures is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Montessori methods or other specialized educational approaches such as preschool teaching or toddler care is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and community resources.
