Duties
- Supervise and support front office staff, dental assistants, hygienists, and administrative team members to ensure smooth daily operations
- Oversee patient scheduling, billing, coding, and insurance claims processing using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems Curve Hero
- Manage financial aspects including budgeting, fiscal management, and revenue cycle processes to maximize practice profitability
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain the confidentiality of medical records and patient information
- Coordinate with clinical staff to uphold standards of dental care, safety protocols, and infection control procedures
- Handle human resources responsibilities such as hiring, training, performance evaluations, and staff development
- Monitor clinic performance metrics and implement process improvements to enhance patient experience and operational efficiency
Requirements
- Proven experience in PEDIATRIC DENTAL setting
- Strong background in fiscal management, budgeting, and financial analysis specific to healthcare practices
- Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and healthcare regulations including HIPAA and JCAHO standards
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, Epic or eClinicalWorks; experience with dental clinic software is highly preferred
- Supervisory experience leading multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing medical administrative support tasks
- Familiarity with managed care processes, utilization management, and insurance billing procedures
- Ability to handle acute care situations effectively while maintaining a positive clinic atmosphere
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with staff, patients’ families, vendors, and healthcare providers
