Role Description
This is a contract 1099 role for a Speech-Language Pathologist based in San Francisco, CA. The SLP will provide in-home and in-school speech therapy services on a flexible, per-assignment basis. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive evaluations, developing personalized therapy plans, and delivering one-on-one sessions to support children with a variety of speech and language needs.
Typical duties involve addressing speech and language disorders, supporting communication development, and fostering social communication skills. This role requires strong collaboration with families, teachers, and caregivers to ensure consistent support and meaningful progress for each child.
The ideal candidate is independent, reliable, and passionate about child-centered, play-based therapy. Experience with early language development and/or Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS) is a plus.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations in home and school settings
- Develop individualized therapy plans tailored to each child's needs and goals
- Provide direct speech and language therapy using a child-led, play-based approach
- Support children with a range of needs, including articulation, language delays, fluency, and social communication challenges
- Monitor and document progress, updating goals and treatment plans as needed
- Communicate regularly with families, caregivers, and school staff to ensure consistency across environments
- Provide parent coaching and home practice strategies to support carryover
- Collaborate with other professionals as needed to support holistic care
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and reports
- Manage own caseload, schedule, and session planning as an independent contractor
Qualifications
- Experience in pediatric speech therapy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with families, teachers, and caregivers
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred - CFs welcome to apply
- State licensure in Speech-Language Pathology required
- Ability to commute between families’ homes and schools

- At least 1 year of experience working in pediatric speech-language pathology
