About Us: Tiny Sprouts Playhouse is a nurturing and play-based early childhood center dedicated to helping children grow, explore, and thrive. We are looking for a caring, dependable, and energetic Infant Teacher to join our growing team!
What You Will Do:
- Primary Care: Provide responsive, consistent care for infants ages 6 weeks to 12 months, including feeding, diapering, and soothing on individual schedules.
- Development: Create a warm environment that promotes sensory exploration (tummy time, textures, music) and emotional security.
- Communication: Update families daily on their child’s mood, bottles, naps, and milestones via our daily logs and face-to-face chats.
- Safety & Compliance: Maintain a safe, sanitary classroom strictly following CT OEC regulations and safe sleep practices.
- Curriculum: Support simple lesson plans aligned with CT Early Learning and Development Standards (CT ELDS).
What We Need From You:
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience working with infants in a licensed childcare setting is highly preferred.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; CDA or ECE coursework is a big plus.
- Certifications: CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Soft Skills: A patient, positive attitude and a genuine love for babies.
- Requirements: Must pass background checks and meet all Connecticut Office of Early Childhood requirements.
