We are seeking an experienced and hospitality-driven Floor Manager to join the management team at Tiny’s & the Bar Upstairs, a charming and intimate, full-service restaurant in Tribeca, helmed by Chef Alejandro Bonilla.
We are looking for a thoughtful and detailed-oriented manager with strong, empathetic leadership skills, a creative point of view, and a fully hands-on approach to service and management.
About the Role
The Floor Manager is responsible for overseeing front-of-house operations during service, supporting the service team, and ensuring smooth communication between the dining room, bar, host stand, and kitchen. This position is highly guest-facing and requires strong leadership, presence, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee front-of-house service during assigned shifts from brunch to dinner
- Act as a visible presence on the floor, supporting servers, bartenders, and host
- Manage reservations, pacing, and seating flow in collaboration with the host team
- Ensure guest satisfaction through table touches and proactive service recovery
- Maintain service standards, cleanliness, and overall presentation of the dining room and private event spaces
- Support training, coaching, and performance feedback of staff
- Communicate clearly with General Manager, culinary and bar teams to ensure seamless service
- Detail and document service a comprehensive closing shift reports
- Uphold all health, safety, and service protocols
Qualifications & Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of floor management or supervisory experience in a full-service restaurant
- Strong understanding of front-of-house operations and service standards
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
- NYC Food Handler’s License
- 5 days availability required, Monday through Sunday
- Willingness and ability to work an average of 30–40 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, late nights, and holidays as needed
- The ability to lift 50lbs

Salary : $275 - $310
