Position: Part-Time Childcare Assistant and Cleaning
Location: Tiny Rebels Childcare, 5620 Georgia Dr Oscoda Michigan 48750
Hours: Monday through Friday, 5:30 am – 11:30 am
Compensation: $13.00 hr
We are a licensed childcare facility in Michigan seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team in a support role. This position focuses primarily on assisting the teachers while maintaining a clean and safe environment for our children and staff, with occasional assistance in the classrooms. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with prep work for classroom curriculum
- Perform daily cleaning tasks, including kitchen sanitation, washing dishes, vacuuming floors, and deep cleaning bathrooms.
- Complete a daily checklist to ensure all areas meet health and safety standards.
- Provide occasional in-room assistance with children, such as helping with activities or supervision under the direction of lead staff.
Requirements:
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Must be 18 years old.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check (including fingerprinting and child abuse/neglect clearance).
- Must complete 16 hours of mandatory orientation training, plus any additional training required by the State of Michigan for childcare workers (e.g., CPR/First Aid, health and safety modules).
- Prior experience in cleaning or childcare is preferred but not required; we provide on-the-job training.
- Strong attention to detail, punctuality, and a positive attitude.
