What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teaching Assistant-Plattsburgh position at Tiny Leaders Children's Center?

Teaching Assistant responsibilities are, but not limited to:
· Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times, being alert for the needs and/or problems of the children as individuals and as a group
· Provide a loving and nurturing environment
· Maintain open communication with parents
· Provide a creative and stimulating environment for the children
· Assist the head teacher in creating/ implementing daily lesson plans
· Assist the head teacher in decorating and organizing the classroom
· Keep the classroom organized and neat
· Complete necessary trainings
· Follow all policies and procedures for reporting child abuse and/or neglect
· Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times
· Attend staff meetings
· Attend meetings with head teacher
· Follow policies and procedures of Tiny Leaders Children's Center and the Office of Children and Family Services
· In the absence of the head teacher, assume temporary head teacher responsibilities
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.50 - $17.00 per hour
