Do you thrive on staying busy, thinking on your feet, and keeping things spotless?

We’re looking for a hard-working, self-motivated Prep Cook / Dishwasher who takes initiative, stays on their feet, and can juggle dishwashing, cleaning, and kitchen prep without missing a beat.

At Tiny Green Trees, our eco-conscious kitchen supports a vegetarian, seasonal menu while modeling sustainability practices for the next generation. This is more than a job—it’s a purpose.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Multitask with Purpose:

• Prep and portion fresh vegetarian ingredients alongside the Head Cook
• Cook simple meals when Head Cook is out shopping and prepping
• Wash dishes, sanitize surfaces, and keep kitchen operations running smoothly
• Support deep cleaning tasks and restock supplies in shared spaces
• Stay in constant motion, balancing dishwashing, janitorial, and food prep work
• Follow detailed daily and weekly checklists and pitch in wherever needed
• Be prompted and excellent at managing own time and tasks

Clean, Organized, and On the Move:

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and tidy throughout the day
• Keep restrooms, breakrooms, and kitchen areas in top shape
• Empty trash, compost, and recycling daily
• Be the kind of team player who notices what needs to be done—and does it

Who You Are:

• A self-starter who takes pride in your work and stays productive without being told
• Always on your feet, energized, and ready to handle multiple tasks
• Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs (supplies, not children!)
• Detail-oriented, respectful, and professional with coworkers
• Able to use a smartphone or tablet for checklists and communication

Position Details:

• $16.00/hour
• 25-30 hours/week: Monday–Friday, 11:30 AM – 5:30 PM (Early start Thursdays 8:30am)
• Paid Safe Serve Certification & Mandated Reporter Training
• SIMPLE IRA with 2% annual employer contribution
• 4 hours Holiday pay after 90 days during closures
• Extra hours available with approval
