Position Summary
The Technical Operations Coordinator provides entry-level technical and operational support within the manufacturing environment. This role supports customer quoting, production planning coordination, and resolution of technical production issues. The position works closely with production, quality, and customers to ensure accurate quotations, successful new job launches, and compliance with customer specifications and industry standards. This role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in manufacturing operations, technical documentation, and customer support while developing knowledge of production processes and industry requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare formal quotations in response to customer Requests for Quotation (RFQs).
- Review customer drawings, specifications, and applicable industry standards to ensure feasibility and compliance.
- Assist in developing work instructions and technical documentation to support production.
- Support planning and coordination of new job quotations and production requirements.
- Work with production teams to gather time studies, process parameters, and material requirements.
- Track new jobs from initial production through qualification and final customer acceptance.
- Assist with investigation and documentation of nonconforming material (NCM) and technical hold issues.
- Support production departments including lead forming, tinning, tape and reel, and BGA re-balling processes.
- Document investigation findings, root cause analysis, conclusions, and recommended corrective actions.
- Communicate with customers to clarify technical requests, specifications, or requirements when necessary.
- Participate in customer meetings or site visits to support issue resolution and new business opportunities.
- Serve as a liaison between customers and internal production, engineering, and quality teams.
- Maintain familiarity with industry standards, customer specifications, and quality requirements.
- Support production teams in planning tooling or equipment improvements to enhance manufacturing processes.
- Assist with identifying opportunities for process improvements to meet customer specifications and improve production efficiency.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in accordance with company safety standards.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing or production processes.

- Ability to document technical findings and recommendations clearly.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing, production support, quality, engineering support, or technical operations.
- Associate degree or technical certification in Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with production, quality, and customer teams.
Supervisor Responsibilities
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
FLSA Classification
This position is classified as non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and is eligible for overtime pay in accordance with applicable federal and state laws and company policy.
