Medical Practice Manager - Tinsley Surgical, PA , Vein, Vascular, and General Surgery
We are a leading private vascular surgery practice committed to providing excellent patient care, advanced vascular and vein treatments, and a welcoming, patient-first environment. We are seeking an experienced Office Manager to join our team and perform critical administrative functions, including surgery scheduling, billing, and human resources. The Practice Manager will play a key leadership role in the daily operations of the vascular surgery practice, ensuring smooth patient flow, efficient back-office operations, and strong team coordination. This position requires hands-on experience with Athena Health software, as well as a working knowledge of medical billing, surgical scheduling, and human resources functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage daily administrative operations of the vascular surgery office.
- Coordinate surgery scheduling with hospitals, surgical centers, and anesthesia providers.
- Manage the medical billing and revenue cycle, including claims submission, payment posting, patient collections, and insurance follow-ups.
- Oversee human resources duties, including hiring, onboarding, payroll coordination, benefits administration, and staff management.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and payer policies.
- Ensure accurate documentation and use of Athena Health software for scheduling, billing, and patient records.
- Support physicians and clinical staff to optimize workflow, access, and patient experience.
- Prepare financial and operational reports for practice leadership.
- Assist with problem-solving, process improvements, and staff training as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3–5 years of medical office management experience, preferably in a surgical or specialty setting.
- Strong experience with Athena Health software is required.
- Solid knowledge of medical billing, coding, insurance verification, and collections.
- Understanding of human resources processes and employment regulations.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and solve problems independently.
- High level of professionalism and commitment to patient-centered care.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or equivalent is preferred.
