We are currently seeking to identify a Warehouse Associate in our Greensboro location to ship, receive and pack materials
Job Description:
- Verifies actual quantities of materials received from internal and external suppliers to the corresponding Purchase Order. Identifies items are correct and received in good condition.
- Identifies and reports receiving discrepancies or quality concerns to the appropriate buyer and to the General Manager if applicable. Follows standard operating procedures for returning defective materials and notifying all appropriate parties.
- Counts goods that are returned to the plant by sales and delivery personnel that are damaged, full, and/or empty.
- Using RF scanners, makes accurate inventory transactions in the ERP system and physically moves material to correspond with those transactions.
- Loads and unloads materials to/from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand or with various material handling devices.
- Performs all check-in/check-out duties assigned and maintains proper records (Bill of Ladings (BOLs), receivers, pick tickets, and other usual and customary record keeping) for each individual task according to the warehouse standard operating procedures.
- Scans packing lists and BOLs into SAP.
- Set-up appropriately sized shipment boxes
- Accurately fill boxes with required products and label each box in ascending order
- Communicate needs with department lead and/or supervisor and carefully double check work for possible errors
- Demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment based upon strict production deadlines
- Ensures accuracy and quality of work.
- Work as a team to achieve department goals
- Performs janitorial tasks as necessary in designated work area to maintain a clean and organized space (which may include the full facility), to include emptying of trash, cleaning up spills, picking up debris, restacking overturned pallets/product, or other janitorial tasks as assigned.
- Works in compliance with all company safety policies and procedures and contributes to maintaining a safe work environment at all times.
- Operates forklift.
- Assists with periodic physical inventory.
- Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience with measurements, reading and understanding a tape measure with accuracy
- Ability to read and comprehend defined work orders
- Able to identify, unroll, measure, cut and weigh materials in a quality manner
- Prior operation of machinery and forklift experience is a plus
- Ability to stand consistently over an 8 hour period
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more
- Attendance and punctuality is a must
- Ability to work safely and efficiently with precision and accuracy
- Prior experience in a production or textile environment preferred
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Good math, reading, writing, and communication skills.
- Sorting and grouping skills.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and be able to record progress/procedures/steps as completed.
- Required to bend, operate/adjust equipment, stack pallets, and carry materials to equipment.
Full time – working hours 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
