We are seeking a full-time bilingual paralegal to join our in-office legal team. You’ll support our attorneys in delivering superior client experience through accurate filings, clear communication, and collaborative case management.
Role Summary
This position assists attorneys in preparing, organizing, and submitting immigration cases. You’ll work closely with clients and team members across departments to ensure cases move efficiently and clients stay informed every step of the way.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare and file immigration petitions, applications, and supporting documentation under the supervision of an attorney.
- Draft cover letters, motions, and other legal correspondence for attorney review.
- Draft and translate affidavits, forms, and declarations in both English and Spanish.
- Manage court filings and manage the court calendar to track deadlines and hearings.
- Communicate with clients to collect information, clarify requirements, and provide case updates.
- Coordinate signatures, appointments, and in-office client visits.
- Generate invoices, track payments, and assist clients with billing-related questions.
- Maintain organized client records—both digital and physical—following firm standards.
- Collaborate with attorneys, remote paralegals, and intake/operations teams to ensure seamless case handoffs.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by attorneys or supervisors.
- Participate in firm and team meetings, providing updates on case progress and operational needs.
Must Haves
- Fluent in both English and Spanish (spoken and written).
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and general office tools.
- Professional, punctual, and dependable in an in-office setting.
Nice to Haves
- Prior experience in a legal or administrative office is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with immigration processes or case management systems is a plus.
Work Hours and Location
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:45 AM – 5:15 PM Eastern Time
- Location: 1503 Santa Rosa Road, Rm 120, Richmond, VA 23229
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: $45,000–$50,000 annually, commensurate with experience
- Full-time employees are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, and 401(k) matching after the qualifying period
