What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Millwright Technician – Multi‑Craft Equipment Maintenance position at Tindall Concrete?
Your day at a glance
You start by reviewing work orders, then head to the floor where a crane needs attention. You trace the issue, dismantle the assembly, replace worn components, and reassemble for a clean test run. Later, you move from a Travelift inspection to a CNC machine adjustment, then wrap up by fixing a leaky plumbing fixture and swapping a faulty motor starter on a building fan. Throughout it all, you work by the book—safety and quality first—to keep the plant running smoothly.
What you’ll own
- Diagnose mechanical problems on a wide range of plant assets: automobiles, tractors, cranes, trailers, production machinery, Travelift, loaders, pickup trucks, and lift trucks.
- Disassemble machinery when needed, repair or replace damaged or worn parts, then reassemble and test to spec.
- Source and order replacement components and ensure correct fitment and operation.
- Calibrate and adjust machines to restore and maintain optimal performance.
- Care for building structures and facility equipment: switches, fixtures, motors; occasional paint touch-ups; and repairs to plumbing fixtures.
- Rebuild and overhaul internal combustion engines: replace piston rings and bearings, grind/adjust valves, and rebuild carburetors.
- Service drivetrains and electrical systems, including transmission overhauls and repairs to fuel injection, lighting, and ignition systems.
