Create accurate shop cards (shop tickets) and erection drawings for basic structures that support both design and fabrication. You’ll contribute across a range of precast projects, working closely with the Project Lead and under the supervision of the Engineer Lead.
Core responsibilities- Analyze and plot erection drawings and details for use in production and erection.
- Align with the Project Lead on shop card detailing priorities; review erection information together to clarify scope.
- Draft shop cards via AutoCAD or similar CAD/modeling software, ensuring adherence to standard detailing practices.
- Deliver scrubbed shop cards to the Project Lead for correctness verification.
- Incorporate red‑lines from Project Lead check prints quickly and accurately.
- Detail Steel Cards using sketches or markups provided by Project Designers or Design Engineers.
- Education: Associate’s degree (2‑year) in Design Drafting or related field preferred.
- Experience: Less than one year of relevant experience required; equivalent education/experience may replace a degree.
- Skills: Proficiency with CAD software, including AutoCAD.
