Delta Blues BBQ is hiring a Part-Time Pastry Chef / Baker to create delicious desserts and baked goods that complement our Southern BBQ menu. We are looking for someone passionate about baking who can produce high-quality desserts while working efficiently in a busy restaurant kitchen.
This role is perfect for someone with experience as a pastry chef, baker, dessert cook, or bakery assistant who enjoys creativity and consistency in a professional kitchen environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake desserts, pastries, cobblers, cakes, pies, and other baked goods
- Maintain consistent quality, taste, and presentation of all desserts
- Assist with developing new dessert specials and seasonal menu items
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and kitchen procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized baking station
- Monitor ingredient inventory and communicate supply needs
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen staff during service
Qualifications
- Experience as a pastry chef, baker, dessert chef, or restaurant baker preferred
- Knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant kitchen
- Strong attention to detail and consistency
- Ability to follow recipes and portion standards
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
Schedule
- Part-time hours (approximately 15–25 hours per week)
