Job Summary:
Responsible for fresh food preparation, complying with all applicable sanitation, health, and personal hygiene standards and following established food production programs and procedures. Responsible for the appropriate use of facility supplies and equipment, and minimize loss, waste, and fraud.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare food served using established production procedures and systems
- Determine amount and type of food and supplies required using production systems
- Ensure availability of supplies and food or approved substitutions in adequate time for preparation
- Comply with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health standards. Observe proper food preparation and handling techniques
- Store food properly and safely by labeling each item with the date and contents
- Perform tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job
- Ensure the grill area is clean and organized, with equipment in proper working condition, and free of hazards
- Regularly check for and address any maintenance issues and follow safety and sanitation protocols
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum high school graduate, or equivalent preferred
- Must be a minimum of 17 years of age
- Must have basic reading and writing skills
- Prior experience in related food service position helpful
- Must follow safe work practices
- Supports and participates in common teamwork
- Good communication skills while working with customers
- Must follow uniform dress code including personal hygiene
Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
- Ability to regularly stand for long periods of time to provide customer services
- Ability to reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, push and pull items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Work area contains increased heat levels for extended periods of time
- Must use cleaning chemicals and sprays to clean work area
- Slip resistant shoes required
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
