Summary:
Our client is looking to hire an experienced Sourcing Manager to join their team. The Sourcing Manager will support the Client’s business strategy by developing and managing a supply base that can provide the client with the best value, highest quality, and lowest total cost supply chain solution to secure a sustainable competitiveness advantage and support the recognition of the client as a quality and technology leader.
Responsibilities:
- The primary function of this position will be sourcing process and to achieve the targets of Cost Savings for the Client.
- Monthly Procurement Metrics Reporting
- Perform supplier qualifications and evaluations in conjunction with Quality
- Ensure invoiced costs from vendors match agreements
- Source and obtain price quotations from suppliers. Compare pricing, specifications, and delivery dates to ensure cost effectiveness.
- Accurately prepare and confirm purchase orders, forward copies to the supplier and others as required. Maintain all transaction records using the MRP system.
- Record keeping, including preparation and maintenance of purchasing files, monthly and YTD reports, product information, and price lists.
- Target specific areas of opportunity for improvements in the sourcing area, and add to staff meetings as a topic of discussion.

Education:
- BA in Supply Chain Management or related area of study, or 5 plus years in a position with responsibility for direct material cost reduction.
- Must successfully pass an MVR.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong knowledge of metal fabrication, machining, and assembly operations
- Strong proven knowledge of the sourcing process and demonstrated cost savings strategy
- Strong proven negotiation skills
- Ability to function in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $130,709.76 - $140,682.72 per year
